She raised her face to the moon......

This weeks theme over at WS is Summer Tea Party.

Seeing as WS themes are always open to interpretation, my canvas is along the same lines as Dymphie's in that it is a midnight tea party. My girl is enjoying the moonlit night with her friend the butterfuly and her steaming hot cup of tea is beside her :-)

The stamps are very faintly in the background. I have actually used sandpaper to take off some of the roughness of the paint. There are a couple of fleur de lis's and some script stamps.

Thanks for looking

  5. Lovely painting Nat. It has so much depth. Love the clean lines of your main image.
I was surprised myself when I read Belinda's theme going with the canvas I made. That's for some creative thinking, very cool don't you think?

  9. Nat! That's really nice, and the moon really seems to glow. Love the way the proportion of your faces is getting more "natural", that girl has some Modigliani air to her! Probably the long neck and tilted head.
    Really nice!!!
