New Zealand you stole our hearts and took our breath away!

WARNING - there are a lot of photo's below...

I did try to reduce them from 100's to only a few
but it was damn near impossible to not want to
show every single one of them to you.

New Zealand you stole our hearts and
took our breath away!

No.2 Child - teaching them young (selfies)...

couldn't resist stopping the car to take another
photo of some beautiful scenery!

No.1 Child also taking photo's of beautiful scenery.

After the Shotover. We loved it so much that we
did it twice.

We didn't meet the Duke and Duchess, they were a week
or so before us, but we did see some photo's on the wall of fame.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

in a few days, I will be heading to this great
country for a holiday with my family.
First we hit Christchurch and
then do a tour of the
South Island of New Zealand.

To say I'm excited is an understatement.

So it will be a little quiet around these
parts for about 2 weeks.

Hope to share a few happy snaps
when we get back.

Autumn Dayz - From Start to Finish

For those who aren't aware, I live in the
Pilbara - Western Australia.
Our weather here is a little different to the rest
of Western Australia. Our summers are extremely hot
and dry and our winters are more like
spring weather.

So currently in the Pilbara we are in
the season of Autumn. However when I think of
colours that relate to Autumn in the Pilbara,
I don't think of oranges and browns with
a hint of green. I think more along the line of different
shades of reds, with maybe a little hint of orange and green.

Here is my version of a windy day in the Pilbara in Autumn.

"Autumn Dayz"
36 x 48 inches

above is how the background looked after I had
finished adding my spray paints
and acrylics

Then I brayered on some white paint

Above is after I had covered it with
 a layer of Gel Medium
and stained it red

Adding the tree

and once the blossoms have been added

and finally I had a little fun with
Pixlr and created my own little
poster using this painting

as always thank you for taking the time
to read my blog
