Stamp Plate Giveaway

A while back there were some fantastic girls on various blogs sharing their Art. I believe it was called Art From the Heart and it certainly started a beautiful craze of sharing. At the time, I didn't have any spare Art to share and to be honest, I always feel a little self conscious of my Art anyway and "will it be good enough" etc etc. So I didn't participate.

But going through some of my stamps tonight and considering selling some on ebay (so that I can justify the purchase of new ones), I thought I'd offer this plate above as my sort of Art from the Heart. Although it's not my Art, I would like it to go to a good home, as unfortunately it is being totally neglected in this one.

Some details on the plate -

It is a Clearly Impressed Stampers Sampler plate by Stampington & Company and yes I got it as part of a subscription to one of their mags.

The stamps are pretty small (12 in total), but perfect for those that love to create ATC's.

I have used 2 of the stamps. The word "love" and teh Christine Adolph Heart up the top right hand side of the pic. And the bad news is - I used Stazon black ink on them. So they are permanently stained, as you cannot use Stazon remover on clear stamps (or polymer as they are more widely known).

But I am offering them up to those that leave a message on my blog. I'll put all the names in a hat and get my beautiful girl to draw a name out on Easter Sunday. So perhaps a nice surprise Easter Pressie for some of my blog readers (whoever you are).

So if you're dropping by, please leave me a message, even better, leave me a joke, I love to read them.

Have a creative and wonderful week.

Don't you EVER say your art is not good enough to share Nat!!!!! For my part I think the art is just gorgeous and your self confidence needs some work *grin*

  2. Hey Natalie!

While I'd love those stamps, it was more the idea of commenting on the beauty of such an idea, and leaving a little joke I love, which made me stop by :)

What did the grape said when the elephant sat on it?
Nothing, it just let out a little whine.

don't know why but this one always makes me smirk!

  3. oh yeah, and what anonymous said (do I get two names in the hat with two comments?? LOL!)...
Like I said on a private email to you, you're becoming quite the accomplished artist!!!

    congrats again! :-)

  4. Hi Anon... can you leave me your name so I can put you in the hat!!

Thanks France and Anon for the lovely comment and love your joke France.

  5. Thanks for offering! My joke is lame...

Two blondes brought home a puzzle one day, and sat down to solve it. A week later, they finished the puzzle.

"Well, that didn't take so long," said one of them.

"No, it didn't...especially considering it says 3-5 years on the box."

  6. Hey Nat, your art is DEFINITELY good enough for people to covet! I know, I own some!!!

    Now for my joke....

"What do you call a boomerang that won't come back?

    A stick!"

hehehe (clean for a change and good enough for your littlies - though I did have to search the deep dark recesses of my mind to find it!)

  7. I would love to put my name in the Hat Natty ( the stamps are cool )put would have loved to win a piece of your artwork.Be loud and proud about what you create, its superb.

    Man walks into a bar.

    What does he say?

Corny I know, but made me laugh.

  11. Hi Nat

I'm with everyone else on this point - your art is awesome and you definitely should be confident about it! My joke is not really a joke but I couldn't resist - hope it isn't too long:

After an exhaustive review of the research literature, here's the
final word on nutrition and health:

    1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

    2. Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

    3. Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks
    than us.

    4. Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

    5. Germans drink beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer
    fewer heart attacks than us.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Keep smiling (and producing art!!) Debbi B

  12. Nat would love to win- and here is my joke- Why is the Easter bunny a Myth? because if it was a myther it could not lay eggs!!!

  13. ok Nat, you need a slap! art not good enough indeed! I was damn impressed with the gorgeous piece I got recently and who just got published??? hugs, Carmel

here's a joke then as my draw entry

An Irishman went into a pizza parlour in Dublin.

The waiter said: "Would you like your pizza cut in six of eight slices, sir?"

"Make it six, I don’t think I can eat eight."

  14. Hey Nat
A quick g'day from the newly married old lady hee hee. I don't have a joke but a few people thought our wedding date was one since we had it on April Fools day! At least my DH won't forget the date!
I'd love to be in the draw... and I agree with all the other comments- your art is fantastic and it's been so great watching you develop your style which continues to grow as you experiment with different ideas and techniques - keep it up my dear - it's fab!
    Talk soon

  15. Hi Nat, Love your art - it is good enough and I know we're all quilty of thinking this at some point.

Did you hear about the wooden car with the wooden engine and the wooden wooden go! Ha Ha.

Genevieve (in case you didn't recognise the blogger display name)

  16. Know what you mean about feeling a little self conscious about your own art....but as everyone else said you really shouldnt as its fantastic! awful joke is:

How do you kill a circus?

    Go for the juggler!

I'll go and hang my head in shame now lol

  17. Hi Natalie,
Great to happen across your blog when you're doing this give-away. Thanks to Dot for the link.
about your art - so long as you're having fun with creating - that's what really counts. And to develop your own style means a lot too. from the little bit I've taken time to see of your creations, I think they are wonderful. Keep up the good play.

QUICK WIT: What's another word for "thesaurus"? (best I can do on short notice). what a fab idea to ask people to leave jokes. Please leave a joke on my blog if you've a moment.

    Happy Easter.
