Stamp Plate Giveaway

A while back there were some fantastic girls on various blogs sharing their Art. I believe it was called Art From the Heart and it certainly started a beautiful craze of sharing. At the time, I didn't have any spare Art to share and to be honest, I always feel a little self conscious of my Art anyway and "will it be good enough" etc etc. So I didn't participate.

But going through some of my stamps tonight and considering selling some on ebay (so that I can justify the purchase of new ones), I thought I'd offer this plate above as my sort of Art from the Heart. Although it's not my Art, I would like it to go to a good home, as unfortunately it is being totally neglected in this one.

Some details on the plate -

It is a Clearly Impressed Stampers Sampler plate by Stampington & Company and yes I got it as part of a subscription to one of their mags.

The stamps are pretty small (12 in total), but perfect for those that love to create ATC's.

I have used 2 of the stamps. The word "love" and teh Christine Adolph Heart up the top right hand side of the pic. And the bad news is - I used Stazon black ink on them. So they are permanently stained, as you cannot use Stazon remover on clear stamps (or polymer as they are more widely known).

But I am offering them up to those that leave a message on my blog. I'll put all the names in a hat and get my beautiful girl to draw a name out on Easter Sunday. So perhaps a nice surprise Easter Pressie for some of my blog readers (whoever you are).

So if you're dropping by, please leave me a message, even better, leave me a joke, I love to read them.

Have a creative and wonderful week.

  2. Hey Natalie!

While I'd love those stamps, it was more the idea of commenting on the beauty of such an idea, and leaving a little joke I love, which made me stop by :)

What did the grape said when the elephant sat on it?
Nothing, it just let out a little whine.

    :-p
don't know why but this one always makes me smirk!

  5. Thanks for offering! My joke is lame...

Two blondes brought home a puzzle one day, and sat down to solve it. A week later, they finished the puzzle.

"Well, that didn't take so long," said one of them.

"No, it didn't...especially considering it says 3-5 years on the box."

  11. Hi Nat

I'm with everyone else on this point - your art is awesome and you definitely should be confident about it! My joke is not really a joke but I couldn't resist - hope it isn't too long:

    THE FINAL WORD ON NUTRITION

After an exhaustive review of the research literature, here's the
final word on nutrition and health:

    1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

    2. Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

    3. Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks
    than us.

    4. Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

    5. Germans drink beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer
    fewer heart attacks than us.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Keep smiling (and producing art!!) Debbi B

here's a joke then as my draw entry

An Irishman went into a pizza parlour in Dublin.

The waiter said: "Would you like your pizza cut in six of eight slices, sir?"

"Make it six, I don’t think I can eat eight."

  16. Hi Natalie,
Great to happen across your blog when you're doing this give-away. Thanks to Dot for the link.
about your art - so long as you're having fun with creating - that's what really counts. And to develop your own style means a lot too. from the little bit I've taken time to see of your creations, I think they are wonderful. Keep up the good play.

QUICK WIT: What's another word for "thesaurus"? (best I can do on short notice). what a fab idea to ask people to leave jokes. Please leave a joke on my blog if you've a moment.

    Happy Easter.
    Wendy
